The Asgard are a weird bunch of guys but you have to respect them, theyve saved the planet more than enough times from the threat of a Goauld invasion. These guys got us into The Protected Plants Treaty, which prevents us from an attack from the Goauld. The Asgard have a wide ranch of technology which is great but unfortunately they appear to be a dying race. They are dying because the only way they can reproduce is by making clones of themselves. But this is no good, as Major Carter put it its like making a copy of a copy of a copy, eventually they will start to degrade. Technically when the Asgard clones degrade so will their intelligence, and the Asgard have been cloning themselves for ages. So how do they still come out with all this fantastic technology? Thaw, the Asgard leader is a great little guy but unfortunately has an annoying voice, a big head and little match stick legs! I hope some day ONeill points that out to him, and knowing Jack thats the the sort of thing he would do. Anyway The Asgard might look harmless but when theyre in their groovy little space ships they can sure teach whoever wants to challenge them a lesson! Thats why theyre such good allies.
